Antje Eckel, the brains behind Dr. Eckel, holds a doctorate in agricultural engineering. She established the company in 1994, creating one of the first German companies for feed additives to provide innovative, efficiency-oriented and health-promoting additives as alternatives to antibiotic growth promoters. Antje Eckel earned herself a reputation as a ‘pioneer of innovative feed additives’ and has developed the company from a small start-up to a medium-sized enterprise operating worldwide from its headquarters in Niederzissen.

Andreas Lewke, who holds a doctorate in agricultural sciences, has been at Dr. Eckel since 2011. Initially Director Asia and head of the Dr. Eckel representative office in Bangkok, Thailand, he became Managing Director of our Dr. Eckel Animal Nutrition (Thailand) Co., Ltd. subsidiary in 2017. He is responsible for Pakistan, Bangladesh, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan and China. Among other things, he develops relationships with sales partners and familiarises our customers with Dr. Eckel’s innovative business concepts through seminars, training courses and conferences.

Rose-Marie Corbin Osterholz is a qualified translator and the Good Samaritan of the company, and has been at Dr. Eckel since 2003. The Frenchwoman is an organisational wizard and puts her talent to good use as Office Manager, planning and managing customer and company events, and organising business trips.
Petra Rausch has been making everything possible at Dr. Eckel for close on 20 years. Responsible for organising meetings, procurement and Intrastat, she is practised at ensuring that everything at Dr. Eckel runs smoothly. In her free time, she is a passionate singer and a member of the committee for the mixed choir of the Choral Society of Niederzissen.
Office Administration Assistant
Ammara Sakultancharoenchai is the organisational wizard in Bangkok. In her role as Office Administration Assistant, she takes care of appointments, bookings, invoicing, liaising with Thai authorities and anything else that needs to be done in a timely and reliable manner. Ammara studied languages in Bangkok, then graduated in international management from the University of Angers, France, and earned an MBA from Thammasat University in Bangkok, Thailand. In addition to her native Thai and Chinese, she speaks French and English.
Head of Business Development & Sales
Bernhard Eckel, an agronomist holding a doctorate in animal nutrition, got to know the industry from scratch. He established Dr. Eckel with Antje Eckel and was the first employee. As Head of Business Development and Sales, he is responsible for sales, technical sales and product development, and thus plays a major role in the success of the company.
Hélène Sorin, a Frenchwoman, has been a Sales Controller at Dr. Eckel since 2016. She earned her degree in agricultural engineering, specialising in business and international markets, in Angers, France. She is the main point of contact for our sales team and is responsible for preparing and planning budgets, monitoring sales figures and coordinating contract negotiations with global partners.
Team Manager Sales North West Europe
Sven Brenner holds a doctorate in agricultural engineering and has been a member of our sales team since 2014. He visits Dr. Eckel customers in parts of northern and southern Germany, and in Austria and Switzerland, putting his customer-oriented network in agricultural scientific practice and research to good use.
Beatrice Meyer, who holds a doctorate in veterinary surgery, joined the Dr. Eckel sales team in autumn 2016. She is responsible for northern Germany and tirelessly visits and advises our customers there.
Country Manager Philippines, Taiwan, Indonesia
Noel Cuyno is a doctor of veterinary medicine (University of the Philippines) and completed an executive MBA at the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School (University College Dublin). Having joined the Dr. Eckel team in October 2016, the Country Manager is responsible for the Philippines, Indonesia and Taiwan, and is the first point of contact for Dr. Eckel’s regional sales partners, dealing with all sales and marketing matters, and supervising field trials.
Myroslav Pahuta joined the Dr. Eckel team in 2017. In addition to obtaining a bachelor’s degree in agriculture from the Poltava State Agrarian Academy, Ukraine, he studied economics with a focus on foreign direct investment in agriculture. As Area Manager at Dr. Eckel, the native Ukrainian is responsible for Eastern Europe and the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). He mainly operates in Poland, Russia, Belarus and Ukraine, expanding our sales channels and caring for our customers.
Jaydip Sarkar, a native Indian, obtained his Master of Veterinary Science form the West Bengal University of Animal & Fishery Sciences in Kolkata, India, and has been Sales Manager South Asia responsible for India, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bhutan since 2017. Among other things, he takes care of communication with business and sales partners, and research institutions. He is also our customers’ primary contact for all sales and technical matters.
Peter Hummel studied finance at the College of Finance and Accountancy in Zalaegerszeg, Hungary, and subsequently graduated as an agricultural engineer from Kaposvár University. The native Hungarian also joined the Dr. Eckel team in 2017. The Area Manager is responsible for the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region, taking care of sales and our collaboration with various regional sales partners.

Michael Wilhelm joined Dr. Eckel in 2016, soon after earning his doctorate in chemistry, and has since been a member of the Business Development Department. He is mainly responsible for technical sales and product development, and particularly for the successful implementation of various pioneering projects.

Elisabeth Holl, an agronomist holding a doctorate in agricultural engineering, has been at Dr. Eckel for more than 20 years and knows the company inside out. The Technical Sales Manager is the point of contact for a large number of our products and can provide help in a variety of matters due to her broad expert knowledge. She is also jointly responsible for quality management.
Technical Sales Manager
Anne Möddel gained valuable experience in domestic pig farming early on. After completing her training as an agronomist and her master’s degree in agricultural sciences at the University of Bonn, she worked as a pig-farming specialist at an international feed manufacturer before joining the Technical Sales Team at Dr. Eckel.
Regional Technical Sales Manager Aquaculture
Alex Diana, a native Italian, joined the Dr. Eckel Technical Sales team in Bangkok in 2016. Due to his Master in Marine and Lacustrine Science and Management, an interuniversity programme between the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Universiteit Antwerpen and Universiteit Gent, his work specifically concerns aquaculture. He applies his knowledge and experience to advising our customers and sales partners in Southeast Asia, and regularly publishing anything from short announcements to specialist articles.
Dzenan Hozic holds a degree in biotechnology and food technology, and a master’s in chemical and bioprocess engineering. His career took him to Saudi Arabia, where he worked on a bioprocesses research project at the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology. He constantly reaches new heights: as Product Developer at Dr. Eckel, he researches and contributes to new products and to continuously improving production processes, while in his free time, the passionate climber loves mountains, organises climbing events and involves himself in environmental initiatives.

Niku Moussavi Biuki, a pharmacy graduate, has been involved in product development at Dr. Eckel since 2016. His innovative ideas and pharmaceutical knowledge make him the main point of contact for the conception and formulation of new products, and the optimisation of the existing product portfolio.

Tilman Wilke, a veterinary surgeon, joined Dr. Eckel at the beginning of 2014. The Team Manager is mainly responsible for product development and manages the trials that are conducted by the company. With his veterinary knowledge, he is the first point of contact for all animal health and welfare matters.

Michelle Fernandez spent several years in procurement in the media and food industries before moving to the agricultural industry in 2015. As Procurement Manager at Dr. Eckel, the mother of a young daughter can draw on both her negotiating skills and her keen sense of the developments in the commodity markets. In addition to German and English, the qualified philologist and Japanologist speaks French and Tagalog.
Ingrid Bauschinger is our longest serving colleague. The qualified notary’s clerk is familiar with all aspects of the company, having been at Dr. Eckel for 20 years. She started off as a management assistant responsible for order processing and moved on to working on various company projects, most recently contributing organisationally to the expansion of the in-house production facility. She is now in Purchasing, responsible for pricing our products.
Nadezda Heinrich, an economics graduate, has been involved in purchasing and logistics since 2015. Together with her colleagues, she ensures that there are always sufficient quantities of high-quality raw materials, obtained at the best market prices, for the manufacture of our products. The native Russian had already worked at Dr. Eckel during her degree programme, both as an intern and as a student worker.

All the company’s IT issues land on the desk of Christian Birnberg, a business administration graduate who specialised in logistics and e-business. The system administrator has been responsible for the smooth running of anything related to IT since 2010, ensuring that our Niederzissen and remote colleagues can proceed with their work without difficulty. He also offers support to Internal Sales.
Team Manager Internal Sales (GER, AUT, SUI & Benelux)
Anna Kondrat, an agricultural economics graduate, has worked at Dr. Eckel since 2013. The native Armenian manages our internal sales team and is responsible for processing orders within Germany, the Benelux countries and Austria. She also provides excellent customer care and assists the Export Department with her expert knowledge.

Antje Wendelken studied animal management early on: following her training as a veterinary nurse at the veterinary clinic in Bremen, she earned her Bachelor of Animal Management at Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences, Leeuwarden, Netherlands. She started her career at Dr. Eckel in Internal Sales Germany in 2010 and shortly afterwards switched to Customer Support Export, putting her organisational and great language skills to good use. She became team manager at the beginning of 2017, and is also Training Manager, responsible for Dr. Eckel trainees.
After studying economics in Moscow and Bonn, Mariia Volkova swapped the tundra of her native Russia with the Ahr Hills. As a trainee in Customer Support Export at Dr. Eckel, she is responsible for processing international orders. Mariia is naturally curious and loves to deconstruct processes to find out how they can be improved. She also enjoys dancing, and works hard at perfecting her German.
Human Resources Manager
Carsten Schmitz, a business administration graduate, was already an intern in the HR team during his studies. Originally from Andernach, he completed his bachelor of arts degree at the University of Koblenz-Landau and subsequently joined Dr. Eckel as Human Resources Manager jointly responsible for all HR matters.
Finance and HR Team Manager
With her experience and comprehensive knowledge, Sabine Felten has been a tower of strength for her colleagues at Dr. Eckel for almost 20 years. The qualified assistant tax advisor and accountant is Team Manager for the Finance and HR departments and does not easily get in a fluster, even on hectic days. She replenishes her Rhenish cheerful nature with long walks with her two dogs.
Human Resources Manager
The qualified wholesale and international trade specialist specialised in human resource management during his studies at the Hochschule Kaiserslautern (University of Applied Sciences). He joined Dr. Eckel immediately after completing his master’s degree in SME management. His role as Human Resource Manager includes recruiting and integrating new employees, and establishing the human resource development plan. Originally from Koblenz, he is very familiar with the agricultural industry, being himself a member of a farming family.
PR & Communications Manager
Andrea Dietrich spent several years editing popular non-fiction books, ensuring excellent text and clear and comprehensible messages. She holds a master’s degree in book studies, history and English philology from Mainz University, and became a lifelong Scotland fan while studying in Edinburgh. At Dr. Eckel, the PR and Communications Manager is responsible for editing, polishing and refining texts, as well as organising events.
Social Media Manager
Thilo Hecking, a business administration graduate, switched from the media to the agriculture industry at the end of 2016, and has since been responsible for all Dr. Eckel online activities. In addition to the company social media channels, he manages all media projects and our website.
Team Manager Marketing
Anne-Kathrin Blässe, who holds a doctorate in biology and is a rabbit-breeding expert, first started working in Product Management in 2012. She soon joined our Marketing Department, and now manages the marketing team. Trade fairs and events are her speciality. She is the creative force behind our popular giveaways and marketing campaigns.
Quality Management & Registration
Martin Lind obtained his Master of Science from the University of Mainz and trained further as Quality Manager. The biomedical scientist specialised in immunology and genetics, and wrote his thesis on the effect of oxidative stress on cells. He employs his knowledge and a keen eye for detail for excellent quality management at Dr. Eckel. In his free time, the technophile from Koblenz enjoys riding his motorcycle on the winding roads of the Westerwald and Eifel.
Regulatory Affairs Manager
Miriam Packwood researched equid behaviour at rest and in movement for her thesis as part of her agricultural engineering degree at the University of Bonn. She has been a member of the Dr. Eckel team since 2011, initially responsible for experimentation in Product Development before moving to Quality Management in 2017. Here, the mother of a young daughter manages registrations while tirelessly infecting others with her good mood.
Trainee Industrial Clerk
After graduating from the vocational school in Mayen, Janis Tröster began his multifaceted training as an industrial clerk at Dr. Eckel. His experience from part-time jobs in sales and event technology will stand him in good stead. What he values most in his training is the exciting insights into procurement, field service and production management. He also attends an in-house language course to improve his English.
Trainee Machine and Plant Operator
Kevin Schneiders has been a Trainee Machine and Plant Operator at Dr. Eckel since 2017. He previously worked as a production assistant in other manufacturing companies. In his free time, he is a keen musician and enjoys sport and the mountains.
