Antje Eckel, the brains behind Dr. Eckel, holds a doctorate in agricultural engineering. She established the company in 1994, creating one of the first German companies for feed additives to provide innovative, efficiency-oriented and health-promoting additives as alternatives to antibiotic growth promoters. Antje Eckel earned herself a reputation as a ‘pioneer of innovative feed additives’ and has developed the company from a small start-up to a medium-sized enterprise operating worldwide from its headquarters in Niederzissen.

Ingrid Bauschinger is our longest serving colleague. The qualified notary’s clerk is familiar with all aspects of the company, having been at Dr. Eckel for 20 years. She started off as a management assistant responsible for order processing and moved on to working on various company projects, most recently contributing organisationally to the expansion of the in-house production facility. She is now in Purchasing, responsible for pricing our products.

Antje Wendelken studied animal management early on: following her training as a veterinary nurse at the veterinary clinic in Bremen, she earned her Bachelor of Animal Management at Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences, Leeuwarden, Netherlands. She started her career at Dr. Eckel in Internal Sales Germany in 2010 and shortly afterwards switched to Customer Support Export, putting her organisational and great language skills to good use. She became team manager at the beginning of 2017, and is also Training Manager, responsible for Dr. Eckel trainees.
