Dr. Eckel – animal welfare starts with feed

One of the central challenges of modern animal husbandry is the sustainable improvement of animal health and welfare.
Firstly, because we as humans bear responsibility for our farm animals and our environment.
Secondly, because animal health has a direct influence on the quality of the food, the performance of the animals and thus also on the yield to be achieved.

We are convinced that only animal-friendly production can be profitable in the long term. Healthier animals mean higher quality, lower costs for medication and treatments, more stable yields, more effective management and more satisfied customers and employees.

The right feed plays an important role as a key component in any animal welfare strategy. Through the gut-brain barrier, animal owners can directly influence the immune system, stress, behavior and performance of their animals with the right feed.
