Theo Eckel has been working full-time at Dr. Eckel since 2020. With a background in agriculture and further training as an IHK Business Administrator, he combines practical industry knowledge with solid business expertise.
His career within the company has been deliberately broad in scope: he started in production, moved into purchasing and later worked in customer support. These roles have given him a comprehensive understanding of key processes and interfaces across the organisation.
After returning to the purchasing team in 2024, he took on particular responsibility for pricing. This combination of operational experience and strategic perspective now forms the foundation for his expanded role.
Focus on strategic procurement and process development
In his new position, Theo Eckel is responsible for both the strategic and operational procurement activities at Dr. Eckel Animal Nutrition. His focus lies on further developing procurement strategies and ensuring the reliable availability of raw materials and services.
A key aspect of his role is the expansion and management of long-term supplier relationships. At the same time, he will continue to optimise purchasing processes and drive them forward, particularly with regard to efficiency, transparency and digitalisation.
By closely linking operational processes with strategic direction, this role strengthens procurement as a key lever for the company’s future development.
