The Dr. Eckel HR team manned a booth at the Ausbildungstag Ahrweiler (Ahrweiler Apprenticeship Day) on 22 September 2017. More than 40 potential apprentices took the opportunity to inform themselves thoroughly about Dr. Eckel and the agricultural industry.
“We were really pleased with the good and positive response to our company and the industry we operate in. Apprenticeships are important for us because they strengthen both the region and our company with fresh and innovative ideas,” said Carsten Schmitz (Human Resources, Dr. Eckel).
Prior to the event, Büro für Zukunft (Office for the Future) prepared the students for their personal interviews with the company. It also matches students to appropriate potential trainers based on their skills, interests and initial experience. A total of 34 exhibitors attended the event, including Haribo, Coca Cola, Deichmann, Aldi, Koblenz University of Applied Sciences, Postbank, the Federal Central Tax Office and the Mayen Employment Agency.
This was the first Ahrweiler Apprenticeship Day to be held, and was organised by Einstieg GmbH in collaboration with the Ahrweiler district business development and the Büro für Zukunft at the Dorint Parkhotel, Bad Neuenahr.
