Because of the 10th anniversary of the Seniors’ Workshop (Seniorenwerkstatt) Niederzissen, institutions and companies of the municipality honored the charitable work of the pensioners with generous donations. Also Dr. Eckel was happy to take part in the event. With the donations old tools were renewed and the equipment of the workshop improved.

In 2005 the Workshop for Seniors Niederzissen was founded. The idea is to carry out voluntary work for the common good of the community and thus to increase the appearance and the attractiveness of the municipality for residents and visitors. According to the slogan „Keep the old and create new things“ the offer allows seniors to use their skills and spare time for charitable work.
